Recent reports suggest that India received around USD 1.25 billion of foreign direct investment in the education sector between 2000 and 2016, wherein most of the foreign direct investment came in the last 3-4 years. Reports also suggest that the education sector is expected to grow multi-fold from the existing numbers to around USD 2-3 billion. Education is also a key impact investment sector. As a result of these projections, investors, both domestic and foreign, are keen to invest in the education sector in India. The sector has its own challenges and is subject to heavy regulation in the formal education space. Therefore, it becomes imperative to understand the sector such that the investments are structured in the most appropriate manner.
Nishih Desai Associates cordially invite you to be a part of its roundtable and webinar where they will provide an overview of the education sector, advent of EdTech, innovative structures for investment and legal, regulatory and tax challenges.
