Argentinian farmers to grow pulses to meet India's demand
Argentine farmers have agreed to grow pulses to meet India's domestic demand besides offering information on best practices and technologies in the agri sector.
Argentine farmers have given consent to our suggestion to grow pulses for exports to India. This will help us diversify our sources of import. Some companies have offered to cultivate commodities for export to India, said senior officials.
The country's pulse production stands at around 14 mt and have been stagnant for some years against a consumption of around 17 mt.
