For textiles exports, tax rebate scheme extended

- Union cabinet has extended the rebate on taxes and levies till March 2024 under which textile exports i.e., exports of apparels, garments and made ups will be applicable. It is to boost investment and make domestic firms more competitive in textile sector. RoSCTL will be applicable at the same rate notified in March 2019 by the ministry of textile.
- An official release stated, “The other textiles products (excluding Chapters-61, 62 & 63) which are not covered under the RoSCTL shall be eligible to avail the benefits, if any, under RoDTEP along with other products as finalised by department of commerce from the dates which shall be notified in this regard.” The department of revenue shall implement the scheme with end to end digitisation.
