Google launches a mobile payments app in India

Google launches Tez, a mobile payments app in India for both Android and Apple smartphones. With Tez, users can transfer money to each other and to buy goods from vendors.

It competes with PayTM, a popular local mobile wallet system PayTM, that has currently more than 200 million registered users in the country.
