U.S. President, Donald Trump, Completes his Maiden Visit to India
US President Trump visited India from 24 to 25 February 2020. The Indian government masterminded President Trump's 36-hour visit, between 24th to 25th Feb, to India.
Giving President Trump a King's Welcome, roughly 125,000 individuals participated in an gigantic rally at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad in the State of Gujarat, India. The show was gorgeous with the two leaders kept close to each other. As per the Times of India, Trump and Modi grasped each other 6 times in just 4 hours of Trump's stay in Ahmedabad.
With Trump's visit regarded as a stellar example of US-India's blossoming relationship, both the sides committed to the following areas of collaboration:
- Defense and security cooperation and early conclusion of the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA)
- India's acquisition of advanced U.S. military technology that includes MH-60R naval and AH-64E Apache helicopters

- Support of the United States for India’s permanent membership on a reformed U.N. Security Council and entry to the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

1) US-India Forum:
USISPF in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Observer Research Foundation (ORF) convened the U.S.-India Forum: Partners for Growth — a gathering of 300 eminent current and former government of India and U.S. government officials, and private sector leaders to discuss the next steps in growing U.S.-India trade and investment relations, defense ties, Indo-Pacific strategy, and the enormous technology transitions and trends in the coming decade.
2) The India-US Business Story: Opportunity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship:
The "India-US Business Story: Opportunity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship" Summit was held on 25 February in New Delhi, for industry leaders, like Ms Meg Gently, CEO of Tellurian (who recently signed a $7.5 billion LNG pact with Petronet in September 2019), to discuss the India-US economic relationship's opportunities and challenges.
