Reliance Retail is keen on taking a big bite of the QSR business with a ‘healthy’ Subway

- Despite nearly two decades of operations in India, Subway is nowhere close to its peers like McDonald’s, Domino’s, and KFC in terms of performance. Reliance Retail, which is planning to enter the QSR segment, is eyeing Subway’s India franchise. The deal, if it comes through, will be a win-win for both parties.
- Subway sandwich is among one of those corporate staples at every office bay. The convenience of grabbing a healthy bite on the go is reason enough to make these ‘subs’ a go-to option. However, despite being present in the country for nearly 20 years, Subway doesn’t have as strong a presence as one might expect from an American QSR.
