Survey on Ease of Doing Business for US firms in India

We are pleased to inform you that the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Entry India is conducting a Survey on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) for US firms in India. The objective of the survey is to examine the Ease of Doing Business scenario for US firms in India and the challenges faced by them in their business operations.

Over the years, India-US bilateral relations have developed into a global strategic partnership based on increasing bilateral cooperation and shared democratic values. India’s trade and economic relations with the USA have seen phenomenal growth in recent years. The volume of merchandise trade between India and the USA has increased from around USD 40 billion in FY2009 to around USD 88 billion in FY2019.

On the investments front, the USA is the 6th largest foreign investor in India with cumulative FDI equity inflows of close to USD 27 billion from April 2000 to June 2019. FDI equity inflows in India from the US stand at USD 3 billion during 2018-19. There are several major US companies operating in India that are ushering in a new era of India-US bilateral partnership.

We, therefore, request you to kindly share your views on the Ease of Doing Business scenario for US firms in India with regards to the business environment, infrastructure, regulations, policy framework, among others. A structured questionnaire has been enclosed for your valuable inputs. This will help us to understand the related issue better.
